WHAT IT IS
The "X-Lam" construction system is spreading as the main alternative to Platform Frame systems. The load-bearing wooden panel, the core of the X-Lam system, consists of layers of solid wood panels crossed and glued together.This monolithic material, made up of 99.4% wood and 0.6% glue, is increasingly popular among designers for its numerous advantages: primarily, it combines the characteristics of traditional massive constructions with the health and ecological properties of wood, enhancing the wall’s thermal inertia due to its greater mass, and allowing for the construction of tall, stable, and safe buildings.
The panels are then finished with internal and external cladding to complete the wall.
